I decided to wander around just south of Market on Howard. City projects are making a lot of cool throughways, parks and nice places.

Oh, and coming back from Stanford, I decided to stop by the side of the road and take a time lapse. I'm very happy.

Highway 1

Headed down to Stanford to see The Exonerated, thanks to my friend Greg. The Actor's Gang is a great troupe and the play was AMAZING! I highly recommend it as it makes you think pretty seriously and deeply about the American Criminal Justice system, and about your own prejudices and preconceptions. It's great.

So on the way there, I took a few shot I like. Particularly I enjoyed titling the last one.

Starkness

There's something really cool about the Presidio and all the stonework around the city. The way that carved granite looks is terrific, not just because I'm from the granite state. So today I was experimenting around with exposure time, and am very very happy with the image I got. But first, something fun. I took a shot through the 25 cent telescope at the GGB rest stop. Pretty fun.

Was at the Presidio at a monument to soldiers lost in WWII. Thought of my ex's grandfather, who has written his own memories down of being in Fiji and other places in the South Pacific when he fought. It really makes it real, his account. Anyhow, I thought about our country today and took this:

And then got on a little "I could make a project here!" frenzy and took a bunch of letters. Here's one:

Botanical Garden

On the 6th, I went to the Botanical Garden at GGP and got chased around a bit:

Later went out to Ocean Beach. Again got some really great shots, wish I knew whose dog it was.

There is a bamboo grove near the Garden where I found this. Not sure which way I like it better. Any opinions?

Plum Walk

I took a walk amongst the plum trees last week and have been shooting since then. Here's from the first day, the 4th. First, I tried a self portrait. :P

Then I looked up and saw this realy cool lamppost that they have on California Street.

And I also really liked the texture the setting sun gave to the backgrounds.
