Men of the San Francisco Spikes Show

As you may have read on my main website, I am excited to announce a partnership with the San Francisco Spikes Soccer club to produce the 2009 Men of the SF Spikes Calendar. The calendar will be available through the Spikes soccer club as a fundraiser for the organization as well as generating a charity donation. The calendar will be release in October and it's going to be very exciting, very advanced work. Have you seen Dieux de Stade French Rugby or the Gods of Sport Australian calendars?

I will creating my own exhibit of photos taken during the production of the calendar. And to unveil it, I've decided to host a Beer Bust fundraiser for Equality California's No on 8 campaign and for the SF Spikes as well. Many of the photos displayed will not be used in the calendar itself, so make a note to come check them out.

I got a new 100mm macro lens today for the XTi.

I've had some dreams about this lens. That's how badly I've wanted it.

The Spikes Calendar project is nearing the end of stage 1 (the photo shoots) so I am VERY excited to get up close and personal with this lens. Literally. Here's a couple shots from Day 1 of 100 mm Macro lens heaven.
